To support our expansion, we are looking for a Business Development Manager ready to help us reach out to new clients .

Please note : this is not an account management position. We are looking for someone who is not afraid to knock on doors and reach out to key players that are not yet in our portfolio of clients.

What will you be doing?

You will be joining the team at a time of fast company growth following several acquisitions.

You will proactively make meaningful connections and build relationships with potential new customers/prospects to understand their requirements and sell cold storage space and logistics services that meet their business needs, whilst managing their expectations to ensure that we deliver on those services as promised.

Tasks include:

  • Reaching out and maintaining proactive contact with prospects to convert them into new clients
  • Having a proactive approach with existing and new clients to identify new deal opportunities.
  • Dealing with inbound sales queries from potential customers
  • Responding to formal tenders
  • Creating individually tailored proposals for prospects in line with their specific storage, distribution and ancillary service requirements
  • What do you need to be successful in this role?

    As a market leader we are well known in our industry and customers are often aware of the value of our services but this is a relationship driven industry and you will enjoy getting to know potential customers and building longstanding relationships with them.

    We can teach you about our business and services, but you must be a proactive person who is naturally inquisitive. If you like to ask questions and get energy from building productive relationships with people, then this is a role you will enjoy!

    To thrive in this role, you’ll need:

  • New business B2B sales experience in a structured and professional organisation, preferably with multinational presence
  • Experience working to individual targets
  • Experience generating sales leads and responding to tenders
  • English to a professional level
  • Fluency in Dutch is essential
