Responsibilities / Tasks

As Head of Engineering & Development your expertise will be instrumental in shaping our product portfolio, ensuring technical excellence, and driving the success of our organization. Your ability to communicate effectively, adapt to changes, and think strategically will be vital in achieving outstanding results.

Tasks:

  • Develop best-in-class products to fulfill customer expectations and enhance their competitiveness.

  • Product idea generation, research/concept development, product/prototype development, product development (existing products, standardized and customized products), know-how management, input for product development data management and administration, product lifecycle management, development of service products (e.g.upgrade kits).

  • Basic IP assessment and development (e.g. patents).

  • Steer Customer Engineering and Software & Controls department by developing KPI’s together with the responsible managers.

  • Represent Engineering and Development in the local management team.

  • Ensure quality of technical (product) master data; ensure compliance to CE Machine Directive.

  • Optimize equipment cost through proven methodologies.

  • Handle claim issues and identify corrective actions for products.

  • Continuous improvement of processes, efficiency, tools and systems and personnel through empowerment and motivating team members.

  • Your Profile / Qualifications

    You are highly organized and great at taking a helicopter view when examining the challenges in engineering and product development and foreseeing issues as well as solutions. Additionally, you are a strong communicator who can mitigate between stakeholders, communicate changes and solve unforeseen challenges.

  • Minimum 3 years leadership experience in a similar role.

  • Minimum Bachelor degree with an engineering background.

  • Experience in a similar role and knowledge of Engineering processes.

  • Analytical and accurate.

  • Good communication skills.

  • Fluent in Dutch and English, spoken and written.
