DESCRIPTION
Hierarchical reporting to the Country Manager Netherlands and functionally to the Global Sales Director Safety Business. You will be responsible for achieving ambitious Sales and Margin targets and settings. And along with the Country Manager Netherlands, you are responsible for the business development goals in the Netherlands for the PPE segment.
Your main goal will be to develop rapidly our turnover and market penetration in the Netherlands for corporate sales while improving our profitability. With still a high potential of new business opportunities, creating new customers to grow our business will be an important task.
You will directly manage 3 or 4 Sales Managers and indirectly 3 or 4 teams of Account managers.
The objective here is to retain the current Intersafe team and turnover and grow it by integrating it into the Lyreco organization. A second important goal is to collaborate closely with the other heads of sales and stimulate cross sell between the two customer bases.
MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES
They define and implement, according to Lyreco Group strategic plan and guidelines, the most appropriate commercial strategy to grow NL PPE business supported by the Safety Business Unit
The achievement of annual sales, GP and compliance targets
Set budget and forecast for NL PPE business and align with your manager for validation
Manage the sales processes by continuously improving its daily efficiency and productivity
Optimize the collaboration and flow of information between your business line and all departments in the company
Management and coaching of the direct reports and the 2nd line reports
Follow up of the business development via precise Key Performance Indicators
Coaching of team members to improve their competencies and optimize their development in their function/career
They represent NL PPE segment to external business working groups with approval of the manager
Keep contacts with customers, prospects and suppliers
They demonstrate the NL PPE segment added value in the value chain, by maintaining strong relationships with Tier I strategic suppliers in order to contribute with the sourcing team to maximize suppliers rebates
Keep up-to-date with the PPE market evolution in terms of customers and competitive presence
Develop your organization, recruit and select personnel in collaboration with internal stakeholders
Member of the Sales Management Team and ambassador to the Intersafe Safety Business Line on the Dutch market through expertise and credibility.
QUALIFICATIONS – REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
University degree (commercial or economic) or equivalent by experience
First class leadership, top people management, excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
Astute business awareness and the ability to drive results by maximizing opportunity, potential and the abilities of people
Minimum of 6 years successful experience in corporate PPE business within a specialized distributor and a proven track record on management level (minimum 3 years)
Relevant network in corporate high risk PPE customers, both Safety and Purchasing DMU.
Relevant competencies: Agility, communication , customer oriented, result oriented, teamwork & collaboration, analytical and problem solving skills, commercial awareness, creativity, impact & influence, negotiating power, entrepreneurship, coaching and leadership
Advanced communication skills and capacity to convince internally and externally
Capacity to decide based on facts & figures and active listening and able to interact with many different levels
Fluent in English and Dutch as mother tongue
Strong knowledge of the Dutch Occupation Safety & health best practices, PPE product and related services to be credible towards customers and suppliers. And being able to lead and challenge the sales organisation to the next level as best of class in the Dutch safety market.
Very good understanding of the DNA of Intersafe in order to be able to stabilize, retain and integrate gradually the former Intersafe sales team into the Lyreco Netherlands organization.
