A Day in the Life
As IT Officer at Rosewood Amsterdam, your day is a blend of hands-on support and strategic thinking. You start by checking on IT projects, making sure everything runs smoothly. Troubleshooting any tech issues that arise, you’re always ready to help. You’ll work closely with the Director of IT to explore new technologies, manage vendor relationships, and train new staff. When the Director is away, you step up as the main IT contact, ensuring everything continues to operate seamlessly, all while contributing to the exceptional experience our guests expect.
Job Summary
In this role, you’ll support and manage the hotel’s technology systems, promoting Rosewood’s standards and ensuring compliance. You’ll handle IT projects, work with vendors, and provide daily tech support. When the Director of IT is away, you’ll be the go-to person for all IT matters.
Key Responsibilities

Support & Operations:
- Carry out IT tasks, ensuring everything works smoothly across the hotel.
- Help manage IT projects, ensuring they finish on time and meet our standards.
- Assist with the IT budget, making sure we stay within guidelines.
- Train staff on IT systems and introduce new team members to our procedures.
- Create and share reports that help improve efficiency.
- Work with the Director of IT to ensure all systems have proper maintenance and support.

Technology Management:
- Help identify and implement new technologies to enhance guest and employee experiences.
- Maintain and troubleshoot key hotel systems like Opera, Micros, and Simphony.
- Ensure PCs, servers, and networks are secure and running optimally.

Vendor & Project Management:
- Work with vendors to maintain all hotel technology systems to Rosewood’s standards.
- Step in as the main IT contact when the Director of IT is away, ensuring everything runs smoothly.
Skills & Qualifications

Technical Expertise:
- Solid knowledge of hardware, MS Windows (Server), MS Office, and Active Directory.
- Strong experience with networks, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with virtualization, telephony systems, hotel TVs, printers, copiers, and conference equipment.

Project Management:
- Proven ability to manage IT projects from start to finish.
- Experience in managing IT budgets and planning.

Communication and Training:
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to train others.
- A collaborative spirit, working well with colleagues across departments.

Leadership:
- Ready to be the main IT contact in the Director’s absence, ensuring continuous operations.
